remedial massage
In May 2021 we welcomed Veronika Morris (Remedial Message Therapist) to 'The Wellness Hub' Practitioner Team. Veronika (AMT Practitioner) has over 12 years experience in remedial and sports massage therapy. Veronika says '' Her purpose is to provide a treatment to help her clients cope with specific musculoskeletal disorders and improve overall health and wellbeing".
More recently, in February 2024 we welcomed Jan Folley (Remedial Massage Therapist) to the Wellness Hub Team. Jan Folley has been a Remedial Therapist for 30 years. Dedicated to the Alternative Therapies Industry since 1990. She is a fully qualified, certified and registered practitioner in Swedish, Acupressure, Sports Medicine, Reiki and Kinesiology. Jan says 'Her philosophy about healing is being a caring and empathic therapist who focuses on the clients needs and requirement especially being of service to aide the wellbeing of other people'.

Dr Keith's Philosophy of Care is Simple...
Keith Maitland is passionate about helping people regain their health and fitness, and also clearing negative thoughts or behaviours that impact on their health and relationships. He believes in treating the whole person, not just the symptoms, and his knowledge and skills enable him to unravel chronic and hard to shift health problems.
Keith has been a chiropractor for over 36 years and has been in practice on the Gold Coast for 32 years. He is also a Specialist Applied Kinesiologist, a Certified Sports Physician and has Diplomas in Acupuncture and studied Herbal Medicine. In 2018 he became a certified Animal Chiropractor.
After a knee injury in his early teens his mother rejected the surgical options and Keith attended his first chiropractor. Chiropractic helped many of the health problems his family had, including Keith’s dyslexia, and he doesn’t think it a coincidence that his schoolwork and motivation also improved as his health improved.
These experiences awakened an interest in healing in both Keith and his brother, Ian. After completing a degree in Chemistry, he had a very short career as an Industrial Chemist as Keith decided that path wasn’t for him and followed his brother, Ian into Chiropractic College in 1980.
In 1987 he traveled to America to sit the Applied Kinesiology examinations and became the first Australian trained chiropractor to become a Diplomat of the International Board of Applied Kinesiology (AK) which is the highest qualification obtainable in AK.
From 1985-1995 he taught AK both in Australia and overseas, and is a founding member and a specialist of the Australian chapter of the International College of Applied Kinesiology.
Over the course of his career he has treated many well known national, international and Olympic athletes, helping them gain and maintain peak health and performance, and in 1995 he was the first chiropractor to be appointed to the Australian Swim Team, and has since seen the who’s who of Australian sport.

Dr Keith is one of Australia’s leading Chiropractic Applied Kinesiologists. Applied Kinesiology looks at the whole person. Starting with the spine, Dr Keith determines what is causing your pain or chronic health issue.
Applied Kinesiology is a diagnostic tool which uses muscle testing.
Once he has assessed your body to discover what is needed to correct your health problem, he implements the corrections that your body has indicated it needs, using the best technique available. Normally he asks you to return a few days after your treatment so he can assess the adjustments he made are still in place. Depending on the complexity of your problem this may take some time.

Animal Chiropractic
Will Visiting a Gold Coast Animal Chiropractor Work for Your Pet?
Dr Keith is the only qualified Animal Chiropractor on the Gold Coast who is also a human Chiropractor.
“As a human Chiropractor for 36 years, Dr Keith knew that he had an intuitive ability to also help animals. As a horse and dog owner he was able to use what he already knew with his own animals”.
In 2016 he travelled to Melbourne and enrolled in a Graduate Diploma of Animal Biomechanical Medicine. This was completed in May 2018.
